Tunisian national basketball team seeks new players from abroad

In a move to strengthen the national basketball team, the Tunisian federation has already contacted several Tunisian players in France, La Presse reported Thursday (February 28th). One such player, Mehdi Laâbiri, plays in Nantes. Laâbiri has played for the French junior team, but due to the flexibility of FIBA regulations, is still eligible to play on the Tunisian national squad. La Presse quotes local federation officials as saying that the goal is to enhance the team with quality players who participate in reputable European championships.

In einer Begegnung, um die nationale Basketball-Mannschaft zu stärken, hat sich die tunesische Föderation bereits mit mehreren tunesischen Spielern in Frankreich in Verbindung gesetzt.

La Presse berichtete am Donnerstag (am 28. Februar). Ein solcher Spieler, sei Mehdi Laâbiri, er spielt in Nantes. Laâbiri hat in der französischen jüngeren Mannschaft, aber wegen der Flexibilität von FIBA Regulierungen gespielt, er ist aber noch berechtigt, um auf dem tunesischen nationalen Trupp zu spielen.
